WELCOME TO POYNTON MALE VOICE CHOIR
We are delighted to welcome new choristers to join our harmonious ranks. There are no auditions and no-one is ever put on the spot to sing a solo.
We perform four or five concerts a year which are always thoroughly rewarding experiences for the choir and audience alike.

Poynton Male Voice Choir took part in the Hazel Grove Musical Festival on the 12th of October.
Six excellent choirs competed for the John Riches Memorial Shield in the Choral Recital, and performing “Let There Be Light”, “Let It Be Me”, and “Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines” Poynton MVC were awarded third prize - an excellent result and something to be proud of. Well done to all the men, and of course to Eileen Rigg (Musical Director) and Kath Buckley (Accompanist) who work tirelessly and so enthusiastically on behalf of the Choir.
We had a very successful and enjoyable Christmas Concert on Saturday the 14th of December, with our guests The Over Alderley Band. Our chosen charity for the concert was St Ann's Hospice.
On the 23rd of December we handed over a cheque for £500 to the Hospice. We understand the bucket collection on the night of the concert raised a further £340 so that in total the concert raised a magnificent £840 which will go towards their re-building fund.
Hopefully 2025 will see the new building opened and this will enhance the care that St Ann’s is able to provide. Thanks to everyone who supported us.
